Marine Insurance has two components:
Protection and Indemnity
Provides coverage for bodily injury, property damage or personal injury to third parties arising out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of vessels for which the University is legally liable. According to the provisions of the Jones Act, the policy also provides expanded workers compensation coverage for the crew of the vessels.
Hull
Provides coverage for direct physical damage to the insured vessel.
